Beginning in her grandfather's Detroit art studio at age ten, Jessica Siffring’s early talent developed into a robust variety of styles and mediums. She primarily works in pastel paints and has two decades of experience.
Her earlier subjects range from animals to landscapes. Broadening her life experiences she traveled extensively through Africa, Europe, the British Isles and Russia during her 20’s. Many of her journeys were solo travels allowing her to meet other adventurers and unique settings. Photography became a second love, capturing material for paintings. Her subjects now encompass all the visual experience gained through observations around the globe.
This show brings together a few of her earlier whimsical works, painted in the Detroit studio and transitions to recent expressive art from travels. Her work emphasizes crafting a visual narrative, from the beauty of the beach to the back breaking realities of life. Capturing engaging stories is one of Jessica’s passions. For instance, Vidal The Joyful Busker playing violin on the Austrian streets in particular shows the beauty of an individual in poverty choosing joy with gusto.
She is selling limited giclee (gallery quality) prints of paintings.
